ORC: The Politician's Office x THE REVEAL

You made it! Thanks for hanging around with me over the last few weeks as I pulled together the makings of my One Room Challenge office space, for AOC, my pretend virtual client! I was thrilled to review the preliminary “clay” images from Duke Renders last week, and just about lost my mind when I opened the complete design!

I set out to create an office environment, packed with personality, color depth, professional flair, and a soft charm that takes the snooze out of your typical politician’s office! The honest truth?

I WANT TO WORK OUT OF THIS OFFICE!

Teamwork makes the dream work, hello!? I arranged a fun and funky grouping of chairs at a community table on the opposite side of her floor to ceiling metal doors! How grand are those!? The curve of course is yet another nod to the arches found from the front of the office all the way to the city view window!

If you thought I was letting this design go without adding a hint of Sherwin William's Grandeur Plum , you’re sadly mistaken! Have you met me? The polished personality continues via our conversation chairs in front of AOC’s desk! How cool are the rolled cushions? I decided to go all-out-crazy on the Truax pendant lighting behind her desk from Crystorama! Are you not in love? If you look closely, you can see Zia Tile’s carefully laid handmade ceramic tiles behind the bookcase shelves in Midnight!

Fun fact, I actually added this ceiling step feature after reviewing the clay rounds fron Duke Renders! The design just needed a little something extra, some pizzazz! I continued my supremely saturated Sherwin William’s Endless Sea onto the ceiling, and further framed out one of my favorite wallpaper prints from Rebecca Atwood!

Surely a few calls routed through to AOC’s office must be highly classified, so I designed a private, sound proof room for AOC whisk into if she needs! Opposite her “phone booth”, I created a closet to house her suit jacks, heels, and a fresh stack of sweaters she can choose from if she’s in a hurry! I couldn’t get enough of the Kelly Wearstler Nouvel sconce from Circa Lighting, can ya tell?

THANK YOU for following along with me! I’ll be on Instagram this week sharing some more of the action, so please check me out there! Oh, and before you leave, say you’ll check out my fellow One Room Challenge featured designers, linked below!
